The Humid­i­fi­ca­tion Bot­tle enrich­es the humid­i­ty of the incu­ba­tion air, and thus reduces the evap­o­ra­tion of water from the cell cul­ture media. This effec­tive­ly pre­vents mod­i­fied phys­i­o­log­i­cal reac­tions or even cell death dur­ing longer incu­ba­tion peri­ods (>12h).

Description:

  • Includ­ed with every PeCon gas con­troller, this prod­uct enrich­es the incu­ba­tion air with humid­i­ty in order to sig­nif­i­cant­ly reduce the evap­o­ra­tion dur­ing the micro­scop­ic incu­ba­tion of cell and tis­sue cultures
  • It can be placed inside a large incu­ba­tor to get heat­ed or used togeth­er with the Heat­ing Device Humid­i­ty 2000 or Heat­ing Device Humid­i­ty S on Stage-top Incu­ba­tion Systems
  • The whole Humid­i­fi­ca­tion Bot­tle can be auto­claved (121°C, 20 min.) to min­i­mize a con­t­a­m­i­na­tion of the incu­bat­ed cell cul­ture with germs and fungi
  • A large size bot­tle (500 ml) is includ­ed in all PeCon oxy­gen reduc­ing con­trollers, com­pen­sat­ing the strong dry­ing effect of the added gas
