    Incubators XL S for Examiner Z1 & Z1/D1

    Description

    • The large incubator fits on the upright microscopes Axio Examiner Z1 and Axio Examiner Z1/D1, respectively, by Zeiss and is designed for the stabilization of the temperature and a local CO2-incubation during microscopic examinations.
    • The heated air inside the spacious incubator heats both the cell cultivation vessel (prevention of condensation) and the objectives with heated air. The homogeneous heat distribution offers best conditions for high resolution live cell imaging applications. The large internal volume allows the use of many different components like stages, heating inserts or micromanipulators.
    • The dark version is particularly suited for the broad field of fluorescence applications.
    • Two large sliding doors (150 x 150 mm) give easy access to the specimen and other components. Two smaller sliding doors below the microscope stage (120 x 130 mm) permit the easy operation of components like objective turret or filters. In the right side wall of the incubator a hatch allows additional access to the incubator interior.
    • In contrast to Incubator XL S Examiner Z1, Incubator XL S Z1/D1 as well as its dark version have one large opening (465 x 190 mm) with two sliding doors and offers an improved access to the stage, the specimen and other components. Two smaller sliding doors below the microscope stage (120 x 130 mm) permit the easy operation of components like objective turret or filters.
    • Cables and tubing can be routed to the outside through two sliding doors at the back side of the incubator. The lamp support can be swivelled back when the incubator is mounted to the microscope. The temperature sensor can be freely positioned inside the incubator to adapt to different setups.
    • For operation, the use of further heated components (e.g. Heating Stage or Heatable Universal Mounting Frame) is recommend.
    • A local CO2-incubation is possible with specific Heating Inserts and non-heatable CO2-Covers in combination with the CO2 Module.
    • Compatible to all condensers. Micromanipulators of various manufacturers can be used (e.g. Eppendorf, Narishige).

Local CO2-incubation can be carried out with the CO2 Module S in combination with appropriate CO2-Covers. Due to the black casing material, the incubator is suitable for fluorescence applications.
