    Incubators XLmulti for Axio Observer

    Description

    • The large incubator fits on the Axio Observer and is designed for the stabilization of temperature and a local CO2-incubation during microscopic examinations.
    • The heated air inside the spacious incubator heats both the cell cultivation vessel (prevention of condensation) and the objectives with heated air. The homogeneous heat distribution offers best conditions for high resolution live cell imaging applications. The large internal volume allows the use of many different components like stages, heating inserts or micromanipulators.
    • The red and dark versions are particularly suited for the broad field of fluorescence applications and have a built-in user safety system: The two hinged doors, the two lamp support sealings at the top and the incubator case are equipped with contacts which switch off the laser. The red acrylic glass ensures protection against laser radiation with a wavelength up to 570 nm, the black acrylic glass up to 640 nm.
    • The incubator offers full compatibility to the Zeiss ApoTome slider module by an opening on the right side, through which the ApoTome and other components can be inserted without removing the incubator.
    • The incubator is available with different slide-in modules and offers full compatibility to the Zeiss ApoTome by an opening on the right side through which it can be inserted without removing the incubator.
    • There are large hinged openings in the front panel on the left and right hand side. On the right hand side below the microscope stage there is an opening with 2 sliding doors.
    • Openings for cables and tubes are in the back panel (sliding plates with locks) on the left and right hand side. Slide-in base plates are on the left and right hand side with openings for the object guide (silicone seal) and additional sealed openings for the routing of the light guide as well as for further cables and tubes.
    • For operation, the use of further heated components (e.g. Heating Stage or Heating Inserts) is recommend. For special applications (e.g. multiwell plates with glass bottoms), the Incubators XL S can be operated with the Heating Unit XL S alone.
    • A local CO2-incubation is possible with specific Heating Inserts and non-heatable CO2-Covers in combination with the CO2 Module.
    • Compatible to all condensers. Micromanipulators of various manufacturers can be used (e.g. Eppendorf, Narishige).
